PCLP6 laden langsamer / slow loading

I've got a weird problem with my PCLP6. I've got my files on a USB3 SSD. Everything worked fine till yesterday.
When i load a song now it takes more then 10 seconds before the load (MIDI, Audio and video) is completed.

PCLP6 starts playing already but video does't show till about 10 seconds in the song. This was never a problem before yesterday
USB3 is still working fine, no errors, and data flow seems fine (120 mb/s) when i copy files
This problem appears both on my computer (win7) and on my tablet (Win10)

no, the dongle only validates the license.
After starting the PCLP6 you could unplug the dongle, as it is not necessary during usage of the PCLP6.
Maybe a Windows Update changed some driver that (miss) behaves now.
Could you roll back to a previous date?

Tried resetting PCLP, no difference
It's on both computers and all HD/SSD's....

something must be different, as it worked for some time up to the other day.

Foramtted SSD to NTFS (was ExFat)
Installed origional samsung software on SSD (I'm using a samsung T1)
Used windows restore point to go back a few weeks
Installed PCP6 again
Installed codecs (K-lite)

Still same problem

I don't see a codec for WMV in the help section. My video's are all WMV files....
Is PCLP6 converting them before he plays the vdeo's?

no convertion - the PCLP just uses the installed codecs to play the video.

I remember deleting the lists (?) of songs PCLP6 saves everyday. I don't know what these lists do exectly, but it turnes out that if i load a video for the first time it takes a really long time. If you load it the second time it's much faster. Is PCLP6 saving extra data the first time? Maybe in these (deleted) files?

these song lists have multiple purposes, the main one been a database of played songs that is used by the PCLP to make the recommendation for the next song.
Loading a file (song) for a second time much faster is due to the file cache of the operating system.

Pffffff i almost got used to the idea that i have to give up on PCLP6!! Yesterday PCPL6 could not show lyrics decently anymore and was responding very slow. Processor tasks skyhigh

So i disabled priority for my anti virus processes (Windows defender), so we were thinking i the same direction. But it didn't help

Today i started with rebuild my song list. Problem still there.
Reset settings and load them. Problem still there.
Rebuild songlist other SSD, still there.
Reset settings and set them manually, PROBLEM SOLVED!!!

Apparently my settings file (.reg) has some kind of crap in it, wich F*^&^cked up PCPL6 completely!!
It's working fine again on both studio desktop and tablet so far. Hope it stays like this
I did overwrite my old reg file, so i can't send the corrupted one to you to check it out, sorry.

Thanks!!! Now I can be enthusiastic again about PCLP6, because i think it's an fantastic program!
