Hi Victor, Hi Andy!

Why Midifile Optimizer can't read .kar files? Most keyboards read it, but MO can't. What is the reason?
And how I can convert my .kar files to .mid? i tryied to rename (The_name_of_file.mid) the files, but not works. Please help!

Hi Marto,

kar files are midifiles so simply renaming should work.
If it doesn't then the kar file is not really a midifile.
Please send me such a kar file.

had no problem opening your midifile (kar), with Optimizer 7 (and all other programs i did), Cakewalk 3, Sonar 8.5 and Cubase 5.
What are your settings of the Optimizer 7?

with settings i meant what you have set in the options, like what Instrument and the rest of the switches.

as you can see in this video, using your settings, i have no problem opening your midi file (kar file).

OK, I saw the video. But I send you as a .KAR file. How do you make it .MID?

uncheck this option in the windows explorer, menu "Tools" then you can also rename the extension from kar to mid.
